What is this course about?

Recent advancements in technology enable smarter homes where everything from fans to lights can be operated automatically/ remotely, saving energy and human effort. In this course, you will develop a Home Automation System using Bluetooth technology. The system you develop allows you to remotely control home appliances with your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone and a special Android application. The system is fitted with a Bluetooth module, microcontroller and relay switches to automatically control the appliances. Bluetooth connectivity is ideal for this automation project because it works within the range of your home.

By building this project, you will practically learn about Bluetooth technology, basic framework of a home automation system and automation using microcontroller programming.

Challenge to win Certificate of Distinction

After completing the course and submitting your Home Automation System project present in the course, you will get a certificate of completion. However you can solve the additional challenge given in the below video within the time limit of the course (in addition to the projects/ assignments present in the course) and win a Certification of Distinction.

Course Structure

Hardware Kit

Roboversity Home Automation System kit containing the following items will be dispatched to your address within 24 hours. One kit will be sent per team.

The kits are well tested before dispatching and come with 100% replacement warranty.

Multimeter and Battery (6F22 9V) are required for this project. Shipping these items isn't possible due to the logistics issues. These items are easily available in your local market. Our team will assist you in getting these items if needed.

Team Size

• A team can have maximum of 5 members
• All members will get logins
• One kit will be sent per team

Certification

• Certificate of Completion will be provided to each team member upon completing the course within the stipulated time.
• Certificate of Completion with Distinction will be provided to each team member upon solving the problem statement and submitting the video within the stipulated time.

All Skyfi Labs certificates have a unique ID which can be verified online for authentication.
